Daarul Fajri School was or is located in Qordho, Puntland, Somalia. For reasons unknown the parents of 17-year-old Ammar Abdihamid Abdirahman decided to sent him to Somalia to learn about his culture despite the fact that he was born in the United States and was supposed to live a life based on Facebook, spring breaks, MTV etc. and whatever healthy teenagers do.

For not so many years it was normal for immigrants to alter their names and make them American when they entered the United States. It was a decision of building a future for both themselves and their children. In order to do that properly the old culture must go.

Anyhow, he ended up in Somalia and being the country Somalia is he was killed and none was really taken to justice. He was killed for free and none of the locals cared. There were witnesses. Still no investigation.

To make matters worse his mother became under pressure from people who took interest in removing children from safety and exposing them to what looks very much like boarding schools run by extremists.

The whole setup looks suspicious. Someone have something to hide and it is certainly not something his parents must have suspected when they sent him there.

It doesn’t sound like a fun place to be when you are a teenager born into a totally other culture.
